‘Workaholics’ Creators Team with Seth Rogen for Action Comedy ‘Game Over, Man!’

The team behind the popular comedy series Workaholics Anders Holm (How to Be Single), Adam DeVine (Pitch Perfect), Blake Anderson (Dope), and writer-director Kyle Newacheck – are teaming up with Seth Rogen (Neighbors) and high-profile producer Scott Rudin to develop the action comedy Game Over, Man! for Netflix, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Holm is writing the screenplay based on an idea developed by himself and the rest of the Workaholics crew. The title is taken from the infamous line given by Bill Paxton’s character in Alien and the script is said to be following in the footsteps of Die Hard, but in a hotel. As far as the rest of the plot goes, those involved are keeping mum. Holm, DeVine, and Anderson are set to star in the comedy with Newacheck directing. Rogen has not been announced as an actor just yet, but is producing under his Point Grey banner in conjunction with Mail Order Comedy and Scott Rudin Productions. Netflix has already gotten a hold of distribution rights for the huge comedy team-up.

Rogen and the Workaholics guys have worked together before for dual promotion of the show and Rogen’s Neighbors franchise. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say this collaboration has been in the works for some time now.

Aside from their continued work on the series, Holm continues to appear in a reoccuring role on The Mindy Project, Anderson will soon be heard in the latest Ice Age film, and DeVine will be seen alongside Rogen’s Neighbors partner Zac Efron in Mike and Dave Need Wedding DatesRogen’s raunchy animated comedy Sausage Party will soon be released and he will also soon appear in James Franco’s Zeroville.
