Woody Harrelson is Nearly Unrecognizable as the 36th President in ‘LBJ’ Trailer

Woody Harrelson stars as Lyndon Baines Johnson in Rob Reiner’s LBJ. The actor has completely disappeared into his role in order to play the 36th President of the United States, a leader who began as John F. Kennedy’s running mate, followed by his Vice President, and finally his successor after his tragic and infamous assassination in 1963. LBJ will take audiences all throughout these tumultuous events and through to Johnson’s own Presidency as he faced the Vietnam War.

Joining Harrelson is Oscar-nominee Jennifer Jason Leigh (Hateful Eight) as his wife Lady Bird. The rest of the ensemble includes Jeffrey Donovan (TV’s Burn Notice) as JFK himself as well as Bill Pullman (Independence Day), Michael Stahl-David (Cloverfield), Richard Jenkins (Step Brothers), and Darrel Guilbeau.

Reiner is both a well known actor and director. For the latter work, he is known for The Princess BrideStand By Me, and A Few Good Men. Reiner is classic Hollywood, and will likely deliver a solid biopic worthy of Presidential standards.

LBJ hits theaters on November 3, right in the thick of awards season, but also up against Thor: Ragnarok. Check out the trailer below.
