Another Stephen King adaptation is set to hit theaters, with The Long Walk releasing in theaters on Sept. 12, and MovieWeb has announced a screening of the new horror thriller in Los Angeles, free of cost.
The Long Walk is set in a post-apocalyptic world in which the United States holds dystopian death games, including one where 100 boys walk until all but one is eliminated. The story is based on King’s 1979 novel, which retains relevancy more so now than ever. The film stars Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson, Garrett Wareing, Tut Nyuot, Charlie Plummer, Ben Wang, Roman Griffin Davis, Jordan Gonzalez, Joshua Odjick, Josh Hamilton, Judy Greer, and Mark Hamill.
The screening of The Long Walk will be hosted by MovieWeb’s George Edelman, and followed by a Q&A with the film’s editor, Mark Yoshikawa. Yoshikawa has worked on projects such as Westworld, Succession and The Hunger Games franchise.
If you are interested in receiving free tickets, fill out the form here. MovieWeb states you can request up to two tickets to see the screening. Additionally, they are looking for fans who really want to experience the anxiety-inducing film on the big screen. The winners will be contacted by email on August 20, and are advised to arrive at the screening two hours early to ensure admission.
