Welcome to the Weekly Trailer Roundup, where we count down the top five trailers released in the past week, “top” being defined any way we want to at the moment…exciting, ridiculous, best, worst…

These are the trailers that, for one reason or another, you should be paying attention to.

This week was dominated by small, indie trailers of films screening at festivals. Now, those can be pretty hit-or-miss, but we found a few (and trailers for a couple bigger films as well) that are worth your while.

#5 – Neighbors Red Band Trailer

Procedural R comedies have their place, and Seth Rogan’s a good guy to have around for one more often than not. Throw in a Zac Efron that has moved on from high school musicals to college fraternities, and you’ve to the makings of something that could be pretty darn fun.

#4 – Gravity Theatrical Trailer

I found this trailer every bit as good as all the other trailers for Gravity have been, but I have a suspicion that with the decidedly more frenetic pace of this one that reaction is strongly influenced by the cumulative effect of knowing what’s going on. Still, I cannot wait to see this movie.

#3 – One Chance Theatrical Trailer

This dramatization of the journey of real-life Britain’s Got Talent winner Paul Potts looks pretty predictable, and maybe even a bit cheesy, but it also looks like everyone had a bunch of fun making the movie. It won’t contend for anything awards wise, I’m pretty sure, but I’m betting it turns out to be a very enjoyable movie.

#2 – Salinger Theatrical Trailer 2

The first trailer for Salinger was good. This one is much better.

Speaking of movies that look like a lot of fun (see numbers three and five) this movie probably end us being a little corny in its own right, but looks clever enough to just pull the whole thing off.
