Brie Larson invites you to become artistically liberated and experience a new form of unique magic. The Oscar winning, trailblazing superheroine has released the first trailer for her directorial debut, Unicorn Store. Larson directed from a script by Samantha McIntyre.
Larson stars in the film as Kit, a struggling millennial kicked out of art school. The film follows Kit’s journey of self-discovery after moving back in with her parents and taking a dead-end office job as a temp. After the fatigue of her soul crushing job, Kit is invited to a magical store run by none other than a groovy Samuel L. Jackson. The store can give dreamers anything they want – in the case of Kit, what she most desires is a unicorn.
Unicorn Store premiered at Toronto International Film Festival in 2017. The film will be released to Netflix on April 5. Unicorn Store takes a comedic and whimsical approach to a common story depicting struggles unique to the millennial generation. Larson is will be flying high off the momentum of the critical and commercial success of Captain Marvel. Larson’s stardom should combine with the film’s millennial sensibility to make another hit for the streaming service.
