Hotel Artemis is a new exciting film penned and helmed by Drew Pearce. The movie takes place in a chaos-plagued, time-lapsed L.A., where dangerous lawbreakers turn to a secret hospital for aid after their escapades leave them in need of medical attention. Jodie Foster portrays The Nurse, who is in charge of the hospital. Thanks to her, the business has been operating relatively smoothly for twenty-two years.
But then some MacGuffin (a tiny portable vault that looks like a shiny Pez dispenser) ends up in the secret hospital. The former owner of the MacGuffin is a man called The Wolf King (I can really only picture a character possessing this name as being played by Christopher Walken, or Jeff Goldblum, and eureka, it’s Goldblum), and he wants it back. This is where the action part of the “action-thriller” comes knocking, and all hell breaks loose inside (and outside) the hospital.
Hotel Artemis hits theaters on June 8th.
