Watch the Profanity-Laden Red Band Trailer for ‘Ted 2’

Thunder Buddies rejoice! Universal has released a red band trailer for the comedy sequel Ted 2. The movie rejoins us with John (Mark Wahlberg) and his stuffed pal Ted (Seth Macfarlane), who breaks the news to John that he and his new wife, Tami-Lynn (Jessica Barth), are planning to have baby through a sperm donor. However, their plans are put on hold when the they find out the state of Massachusetts doesn’t recognize their marriage because Ted is technically a piece of property and not a person. Now the pair  must enlist the help of their lawyer, Samantha L. Jackson (Amanda Seyfried), to get the courts to recognize the foul-mouthed bear’s existence.

Ted was the hit comedy of 2012, which was a surprise for Universal. It also helped nab MacFarlane a divisive hosting job at the Oscars and let him make the far less successful A Million Ways to Die in the West. While standard trailer hit the internet earlier this year, this new trailer proves the sequel will follow the original movie’s recipe of profanity, drugs, and cameos.

Nowhere to be seen in the trailer is Mila Kunis‘ Lori Collins, who was John’s love interest in the first film. They ended up together at the end of the first movie so it will be interesting to see how they write off her character when the movie hits theaters June 26.

In the meantime, watch the trailer below.

Tyler Lyon: When Tyler isn't thinking about the lack of a Canadian presence in D2: The Mighty Ducks, whether Princess Leia can now be considered a Disney Princess or discovering 8-bit classics on his 3DS, he's cheering on the Cubs, Bulls, Bears, Blackhawks, and Hawkeyes.
