It looks like this is a good week for trailers, as one has just been released for the upcoming film Tragedy Girls. The movie revolves around two close female friends who possess a deadly interest in true crime, which fuels their drive to solve and write about murders. However, the comedy shifts on its axis when the girls go on a killing spree in order to reach internet popularity on their blog, whose name lends the title to the film: Tragedy Girls.
Tyler MacIntyre will direct. MacIntyre also worked with Justin Olson and Chris Lee Hill to write the script.
Alexandra Shipp (Straight Outta Compton) and Brianna Hildebrand (First Girl I Loved) will headline the movie. After both actresses appeared in separate installations of Fox-based X-Men films, engaging in their respective battles, it appears that they both are well-equipped to engage in the heavy action scenes of the film as they track down, fight, and even decapitate their victims.
They will star alongside Craig Robinson (The Office), Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games), Kevin Durand (I Am Number Four), Austin Abrams (Paper Towns), Nicky Whelan (Left Behind), and Rosalind Chao (I Am Sam).
The gory new trailer can be watched below.
Beware: Tragedy Girls will make its way to theaters very soon, hitting the big screen on October 20, 2017.
