DC fans will be heading to the movies early next month, but not for a DC movie. It’s been revealed that the first theatrical trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will premiere before the sci-fi epic, Jupiter Ascending. There have been no other trailers since the first released at Comic Con last year.Zach Snyder finished production of the DC blockbuster-to-be last year, and now we may finally be getting a peek at what will be the start of the DC Shared Movie Universe. With Henry Cavill returning as Superman and Ben Affleck playing Batman, the movie itself is a hotly anticipated flick, and with DC fans practically salivating over any news. Jupiter Ascending, a high-budget space opera by the Wachowskis’ and starring Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis, could possibly get a great boost in ticket sales from those fans eager for any news of Batman v Superman.
The superhero film will also star Amy Adams, returning as Lois Lane, and Jesse Eisenberg as Superman’s arch-nemesis Lex Luthor. Readers can check out mxdwn’s coverage of the script content itself here. Also, for readers still on the fence about seeing Jupiter Ascending, you can check out the trailers here and here.
Jupiter Ascending hits theaters on February 6, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set for release on March 25, 2016.
