The Accountant starring Ben Affleck now has a release date for early next year: January 29th. The movie stars Affleck who plays an accountant moonlighting as an assassin. It will be his first movie since Gone Girl, and will premiere before the eagerly anticipated Batman v Superman.Affleck stars alongside Anna Kendrick, J. K. Simmons, John Lithgow, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, and Jeffrey Tambor among others. The movie is directed by Gavin O’Connor from a script written by Bill Dubuque. Warner Bros. set the release date to only coincide with the releases of DreamWorks’ Kung Fu Panda 3 and Disney’s The Finest Hours, which will star Ben Affleck’s brother Casey.
Most of Ben Affleck’s upcoming movies will see him in the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman for the DC Cinematic Universe, from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice through both Justice League Part 1 and 2. But he is also set to work on Live by Night, slated for release in October 2016, about Prohibition-era organized crime.
Along with The Accountant, Warner Bros. has also set the release date for two of its other upcoming movies: the crime-comedy Arms and the Dudes on March 11, 2016, and the comedy Project XX for August 19, 2016.
