WarnerMedia is conducting an investigation over for the moral character of Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara. The CEO has been accused of promoting the career of Charlotte Kirk after engaging in sexual relations with the young actress. The Hollywood Reporter published an article that revealed a series of text messages that showed Tsujihara and Kirk engaged in romantic relationship. The account claims that Tsujihara contacted entertainment executives to help Kirk in landing prominent television and film roles.
While the texts may be unsettling there is not yet any indication that Tsujihara abused his power to push colleagues to give Kirk an advantage. WarnerMedia is conducting an investigation to verify the authenticity of the published emails as well as Tsujihara’s actions during and after the CEO’s three year fling with Kirk.
Kirk broke landed substantial roles in 2016’s How to Be Single and 2018’s Ocean’s 8 – both Warner Bros. movies.
Tsijihara’s legal team released a statement “Mr. Tsujihara had no direct role in the hiring of this actress.” The statement continues, “Charlotte Kirk emphatically denies any inappropriate behavior on the part of… Kevin Tsujihara, and she has no claims against [him],”
A spokesperson for Kirk reinforced Tsujihara’s statement, “Charlotte Kirk emphatically denies any inappropriate behavior on the part of… Kevin Tsujihara, and she has no claims against [him]…Mr. Tsujihara never promised Ms. Kirk anything.”
