Vivienne Medrano, the creator of the hit animated series Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, is expanding her relationship with Warner Bros. Animation through a new first-look development deal and an original series titled Prehistoria. The announcement was made during the Annecy International Animation Festival, where Warner Bros. unveiled the project and released the first promotional artwork.

According to this Deadline article, Prehistoria follows “the lives of dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures in a vibrant world where music and adventure collide.” The series will be produced by Medrano’s independent animation studio, SpindleHorse, which has become known for its distinctive visual style and successful online animation projects. The deal marks another major achievement for Medrano, whose career has grown from creating animated content on YouTube to becoming one of the most influential voices in animation today.

“Vivienne is a visionary creator whoseunique voice and artistic style have captivated audiences around the world,” Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network Studios President Sam Register said in a statement. “We are thrilled to welcome her to the Warner Bros.
