Although most eyes were set to the Oscars on Sunday night, another awards show was also giving out its usual accolades. The Razzies hosted their ceremony over the weekend, awarding the not-so-stellar films that 2025 had to offer.
The big winner (or loser) at the Razzies this year was the latest imagining of H.G. Wells’ iconic story, War Of The Worlds. With Ice Cube in the leading role, the film garnered quite the unique following, thanks to the acting, writing, and “screen life” style that it portrayed.
War Of The Worlds wound up with a Razzie in a whopping five categories. One of these was Worst Actor for the aforementioned Ice Cube, while the film also went home with Worst Picture. It also managed to win in the categories of Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off, or Sequel, Worst Director, and Worst Screenplay.
Variety noted that another maligned film from 2025, Disney’s live action Snow White, also went home with a few Razzies. In the full list of winners, which Variety also posted, Snow White got two Razzies, making it the second most awarded movie of the night. It managed to get both Worst Screen Combo and Worst Supporting Actor, both being given to the group of the seven CGI dwarfs.
