Oscar-winning Viola Davis from the smash ABC hit How To Get Away With Murder has just signed on to star in a new Amazon film, Troupe Zero, according to Variety. Davis and her husband are quickly becoming heavy hitters for a handful of films, currently under production under her co-created company, JuVee Productions. One of those films include an adaptation of Rachel Lloyd’s Girls Like Us.
So far, the only other news about the Amazon Studios film include the direction under Dance Camp duo Bert & Bertie, as well as the addition of Beasts of the Southern Wild scriptor, Lucy Alibar, and Oscar award winning Fences producer Todd Black as financier.
Davis also starred in the 2016 film Fences alongside Denzel Washington and can be seen in the upcoming Steven McQueen thriller Widows.
At this point, little about the plot has been said as the studio is trying to keep details under wrap. Stay tuned as more information is released.
