The recent Planet Of The Apes trilogy has a fourth film confirmed to come out next year, directed by Wes Ball. A new trailer and multiple new stills have dropped for the upcoming film, Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes.
As Deadline reports, the newest installment takes place several generations in the future, with apes living as the dominant species under Caesar’s reign, leaving humans to live in the shadows. While a new tyrannical ape leader starts to forge his own empire, a young ape understands a journey to bring him down and bring on a new future, for both ape and mankind alike.
Wes Ball also directed the Maze Runner trilogy, with the script for this movie coming from Josh Friedman, Rick Jaffa, and Amanda Silver. Friedman also wrote War Of The Worlds, with Jaffa and Silver writing Avatar: The Way Of Water. Patrick Aison, who wrote Hulu-exclusive Prey, also has a credit on the film. Wes Ball also serves as a producer, alongside Joe Hartwick Jr., Jaffa, Silver, and Jason Reed, as well. Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping will serve as executive producers.
Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes will star Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Peter Macon, and William H. Macy.
Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes is set to release May 24th, 2024. Check out the trailer below.
