Uncover the Truth About Watergate as Liam Neeson Portrays Mark Felt in New Political Drama

The investigation into the Watergate scandal by Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein of the Washington Post was provided by the anonymous informant known as “Deep Throat”. Sony Pictures Classics is bringing the Mark Felt story to the big screen with Liam Neeson playing the titular role in a film called Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House. It will tell the story of Mark Felt who helped the journalists by providing classified information that ultimately led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon.

The film is written and directed by Peter Landesman (Parkland) and features an ensemble cast which includes Diane Lane (Justice League), Tony Goldwyn (The Belko Experiment), Josh Lucas (The Most Hated Woman in America), Michael C. Hall (TV’s Dexter), Tom Sizemore (Radical), and Bruce Greenwood (Gold).

The title project had been announced back in 2006 with Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman attached as producers. Some previous titles were “Felt” and “The Silent Man”. Ridley Scott and his production company Scott Free are among several production companies that are producing the film.

Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House is scheduled to be released on September 29th.

Rick Rice: A kid at heart who has loved watching movies from a very young age. Credit must be given to Siskel and Ebert whose film reviews educated me on the world of film inspired me to become a writer myself. I love to read books that range from various topics, copious amounts of research is something that excites me and of course sitting in a movie theater is a highlight of my life. When I'm not watching movies or reading I enjoy listening to foreign music and working hard on finishing my short stories. Currently working on my degree in English with a plan to enroll into Film School with the dream of becoming a screenwriter and director.
