Transformers: Rise of the Beasts has released a teaser trailer to kick the march toward the coveted Super Bowl spot. Excitement has continued to build as the beloved franchise looks back to the past for the next installment.
Series regular and voice-acting legend Peter Cullen will reprise Optimus Prime’s voice. A bunch of fan favorites is also returning for the upcoming blockbuster. The excitement is palpable since Rise of The Beasts trailer set a record for Paramount over their long and storied history. The clip accrued 494 million views across various platforms, showing the Transformers. That’s more than Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Disney’s upcoming Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
Creed II’s Steven Caple Jr. is directing Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. According to Comicbook.com, “Returning to the action and spectacle that first captured moviegoers around the world 14 years ago with the original Transformers, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on the ’90s globetrotting adventure and introduce the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons to the existing battle on earth between the Autobots and Decepticons.” it seems that the film is taking its beats from the early 200’s Transformers series Transformers: Beast Wars. Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback star in the human sections of the film. The voice talent returning for this film will surprise some longtime fans with voice actors like Ron Perlman as the gorilla-inspired Optimus Primal, Michelle Yeoh as fellow Maximal Airazor, and Pete Davidson as a fellow Autobot Mirage.
