Trailer for ‘Mary Queen of Scots,’ Starring Saoirse Ronan, Margot Robbie

The trailer for Mary Queen of Scots – starring Oscar nominees Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie as the titular character and Queen Elizabeth I, respectively – is now available on the Focus Features YouTube channel.

The historical drama, directed by Josie Rourke and written by Beau Willimon from the John Guy biography My Heart Is My Own: The Life of Mary Queen of Scots, tells the story of the friendship-turned-rivalry between cousins Mary, Queen of Scots and Queen Elizabeth I. The trailer for the film boasts political intrigue, the war between England and Scotland, beautiful costumes, and breathtaking landscapes. Mary Queen of Scots is framed by the struggle of both queens to conquer and build their empires in a world governed by men.

You can catch Mary Queen of Scots in theaters this December.
