While Sony or Marvel Studios has yet to officially announce a fifth Tom Holland Spider-Man movie, both Holland and Spider-Man: Brand New Day director Deston Daniel Cretton discussed the possibility of a hypothetical fifth film.
Deston Daniel Cretton’s comments came from an interview with the Crew Call podcast. In the interview, he stated, “Is there ever a last Spider-Man? Everyone should go to this [movie] as if it’s the last Spider-Man.”
Holland’s comments came a month after, where when asked how much longer he sees himself playing the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man, he answered with the following:
“For whoever’s next, whether that is a Miles Morales or a Spider-Gwen or a Spider-Woman or something like that, I would love to be a part of setting up the next chapter. Whatever that looks like, I don’t know. But if I could do what Downey did for me, then I would be so content swinging off into the sunset.”
As previously stated, Sony and Marvel Studios have yet to greenlight a fifth Tom Holland Spider-Man movie. Marvel Studios’ current priorities are focused on wrapping up Phase 6, with the releases of Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, set for theaters in December of this year and December 2027, respectively.
That is, after the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the next MCU film and Tom Holland Spider-Man movie. It will be released in theaters on July 31st.
