Tom Holland Joined by Ciara Bravo for Russo Brothers’ Next Film ‘Cherry’

It has been announced by Variety that Spider-Man star Tom Holland will be joined by Ciara Bravo in Cherry, the next film headed by Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo. The film is based on the New York Times bestselling novel of the same name written by Nico Walker.

Cherry follows the true story of Walker, an army medic, who returns from Iraq with an extreme form of undiagnosed post-traumatic stress disorder, develops an opioid addiction which puts him into massive debt and begins robbing banks. Walker was apprehended in 2011 and will get released from jail in 2020. Additional cast include It‘s Bill Skarsgard, Jack Reynor, Forrest Goodluck, Jeff Wahlberg, Michael Gandolfini, and Kyle Harvey.

In addition to Holland celebrating the recent news about Spider-Man staying in the MCU- a reveal that had fans rejoicing on social media- Holland has been documenting the weight that he’s lost in preparation for his role. Check out this post from his Instagram where he mentions the Russo Brothers and looks not as Spider-Man strong as he was during the Far From Home press tour:

Bravo reportedly beat out a lot of other actresses for the role, so her addition to the cast is exciting. Bravo’s credits include Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, To the Bone, and a main role in the Nickelodeon show Big Time Rush.

Production for Cherry started this week in Cleveland, Ohio.
