‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’ Sequel Confirmed

As of yesterday, we learned that the hit Netflix film To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before will be getting the sequel treatment. The original teen romance film released earlier this year on Netflix’s streaming platform. It was directed by Susan Johnson and based on Jenny Han’s 2014 novel of the same name.

The film quickly became one of the most viewed items on Netflix and gained plenty of critical acclaim. It also launched male lead Noah Centineo into the throng of popular leading men. It would seem only right that Netflix would push for a sequel and further their repertoire of original content.

The sequel would be the first film under the multi movie deal between the streaming service and Paramount Pictures. There are very few other details about development or release of the project. It would seem logical that the sequel would be based on the sequel to the first novel P.S. I Still Love You as Han is  attached to the upcoming project.

No details about casting have been announced, though both Han as well as the lead actress of the first film Lana Condor have expressed interest in a sequel. Possible time of release is still unknown, as the project is in the early developmental stages, though a sequel to such a popular and acclaimed film would likely see priority for the platform.

I am pursuing a B.A. in Film and Media studies with hopes to work in the creative industry. I have always had a passion for storytelling and since youth I've loved film. I grew up loving the movies of directors like Wes Anderson, Stanley Kubrick, Alfred Hitchcock, Martin Scorsese, David Fincher, and many more along with writers such as Aaron Sorkin and Quentin Tarantino. One thing I have always done is write about movies and communicate to others information about the "film community" and the industry as well as about the films themselves. I write creatively on a daily basis.
