Andrew Bowler’s much anticipated romantic comedy Time Freak has acquired two more big industry teen actor names, Asa Butterfield from Hugo and Sophie Turner from hit show Game of Thrones. This adds to a cast that already features Skyler Gisondo (The Amazing Spiderman), Will Peltz (In Time), Aubrey Reynolds and Jillian Joy. The film is already in production in Salt Lake City, Utah.
This will be Andrew Bowler’s directorial debut, following the success of his Oscar winning short with the same name. The short, and the film that follows it, are also pieces of a real Hollywood success story. Bowler and his producer (and wife) Gigi Causey sank all of their money into the making of the short and have received acclaim and opportunity because of it.
Before this Bowler was mainly known for his comedy work on shows for TNT, MTV, TLC, and others, as well as his work for Funny or Die comedy shorts.
QC and Rhodes Entertainment, in association with Beach Pictures, have agreed to produce and finance the film. QC Entertainment is also coming off of a real Hollywood success story, having just released Jordan Peele’s Get Out (a film that has made close to $200M in the global box office)
The list of producers and executive producers from both QC and Rhodes Entertainment is long, featuring names like Ray Mansfield (QC) and Matthew Rhodes (Rhodes). Gigi Causey will be among the executive producers on the team.
