‘Three Billboards’ Makes Clean Sweep at 24th Annual SAG Awards

The Golden Globe winning crime drama is sweeping the SAG awards by picking up another three at last night’s award ceremony.

The night took a feminine approach with the “first lady” to host the iconic 24th Annual Sag Awards, actress Kristen Bell, who centered her discussion on the prevalent “Times Up” and “Me Too” campaign that was mirrored throughout the rest of the awards ceremony.

Yet another first for this year’s SAG, was the overwhelming all female presenters this year, marking a symbolic change in letting women speak.

On the movies side, as previously mentioned, the Crime drama, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri took home three awards, for best performance by a female actor in a leading role, to Francis McDormand, best performance by male actor in a supporting role to Sam Rockwell, and best performance by the cast in the theatrical motion picture.

Other awards include Allison Janney, who won for her supporting role in the film I, Tonya. Gary Oldman also took an award for best performance in a leading role for Darkest Hour and Wonder Woman won for its outstanding performance by a Stunt ensemble.
