Theo Rossi in ‘Sons of Anarchy’

Universal’s Low Riders  just added Theo Rossi (TV’s Sons of Anarchy) to its cast, according to The Hollywood ReporterThe film will focus on the East Los Angeles culture of low riding – bouncing cars up and down in rhythm with music – and street tagging.

Rossi joins Demian Bichir, who was recently cast in Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight, as well as Eva Longoria (TV’s Desperate Housewives) and Nicola Peltz (Transformers: Age of Extinction). The film will be directed by Ricardo de Montreuil, who hasn’t made a full-length, feature film since 2008’s Máncora. He also has the thriller The Raven and a sci-fi action film Apokalpsis in the works.

Rossi’s most notable credit is 2008’s Cloverfield. He also starred in last year’s Meth Head opposite Lukas Haas, and is currently in production on the indie drama Bad Hurt, which he is also producing. Low Riders will give Rossi a chance to explore a new area of the gang world after spending six years in a motorcycle gang. No specific role has been announced for Rossi or his costars.
