In a story that will certainly be out of date in a matter of minutes, James Gunn and Warner Bros has released a plethora of posters, both film and character-focused, in preparation for the release of the first full trailer for The Suicide Squad.
This trailer is getting so close I’m standing in a puddle of King Shark’s drool. #TheSuicideSquad pic.twitter.com/oPhgONqIji

Written and directed by Gunn, the film stars Margot Robbie in her third round as Harley Quinn, Idris Elba, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, and many other’s who movie-goers probably should not get attached to. Like the poster says “They’re dying to save the world.”
In addition to that poster, there is another one that can be seen on Gunn’s social media accounts. From there, Gunn and DC have been releasing new posters for every character as well, including this nice one of Gunn’s good friend Michael Rooker.
What's a James Gunn movie without a damn Rooker getting in the way of everything? Savant. #TheSuicideSquad https://t.co/lalFKgdfzi

The theme with these posters are clear: Do not get attached.
The trailer will certainly drop at any moment now, so be on the look out for that. However, based on the comic-book feeling of these poster and Gunn’s comic book success in the past, this seems like a clear home run already for Warner Bros. and DC comics.
If you are not following James Gunn’s social media, I implore you to do so. The writer-director constantly posts interesting things and regularly drops unofficial Q & A’s where fans can ask him anything pretty much. This seems to be in line with all his other big hit successes.
The Suicide Squad looks to be James Gunn fully unleashed and is due out in theaters and on HBO Max on August 6, 2021.
I'll just drop this here. Did I mention that a trailer is coming tomorrow? #TheSuicideSquad pic.twitter.com/VmB9n0rFSZ
