

Wes Anderson is an acclaimed filmmaker with a unique style. His films are full of aesthetically pleasing scenes with bright colors and detailed symmetry. Anderson’s most recent feature film was Asteroid City, in which he worked with Focus Features and Indian Paintbrush. Both companies are working with Anderson again on the upcoming film.
Anderson directed the film and co-wrote it alongside Roman Coppola. Anderson and Coppola have worked together before, even earning an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay for their work on Moonrise Kingdom. (IMDb)
The details of The Phoenician Scheme are not known to the public yet, all that is known is that the film will follow a family. It was filmed in Germany and will have the scenery as the backdrop. Collider confirms that the new film, like his others, will follow “themes like grief, loss of innocence, dysfunctional families, sibling rivalry and unlikely friendships.”
The cast is stacked with a long list of stars including; Benicio Del Toro as a very wealthy man Zsa-Zsa Korda, Mia Threapleton as Sister Liesl and Michael Cera as a tutor Bjorn Lund. The list doesn’t stop there, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Riz Ahmed, Mathieu Amalric, Jeffrey Wright, Scarlett Johansson, Richard Ayoade, Rupert Friend, Hope Davis and Benedict Cumberbatch.
The film will have a limited release on May 30 and will widely hit theaters on June 6.
