The official trailer for Prime Video’s Pretty Lethal, starring Uma Thurman and Lana Condor, has been released. This action thriller is directed by Close’s Vicky Jewson and is set to premiere on March 13th at the 2026 South by Southwest Film & TV Festival and will be available to stream on Prime Video on March 25th.
The official synopsis for the feature reads as follows:
An action-packed thriller where five ballerinas, on their way to a prestigious dance competition, are barely on speaking terms when their bus breaks down in a remote forest. With no other options, they reluctantly seek shelter at an unsettling roadside inn run by Devora Kasimer (Thurman), a reclusive former ballet prodigy. From the moment they arrive, something feels wrong—and their worst instincts prove right. As the situation turns deadly, the fractured team must set aside rivalries and weaponize years of brutal training, turning grace, discipline, and even pointe shoes into tools for survival.
The ensemble cast is rounded out by Millicent Simmonds, Iris Apatow, Maddie Ziegler, Avantika, and Michael Culkin. Jewson directed from a script by Kate Freund, and the film’s producers include David Leitch, Kelly McCormick, Annie Marter, Bill Bindley, Mike Karz, and Piers Tempest.
The two-minute trailer opens with the ballerinas preparing for “The Budapest Showcase,” intertwined with clips of Condor and Ziegler’s characters butting heads. On the way to the showcase, a life-changing event where “only the world’s best dancers get invited to”, their bus breaks down, causing the dancers to have to take refuge at the Kasimer’s Inn, where the manager, played by Thurman, is a retired dancer herself. Suddenly, the mood shifts and the ballerinas realize that they have to escape or Thurman and the people she is working with will hurt them or worse. While the dancers are panicked at first, Ziegler’s character tells them to pull it together, saying, “We’re prima ballerinas, so don’t tell me you’re not strong.” The rest of the trailer shows the killer dancers fighting back against Thurman and her goons, accompanied by a remix of Snap!’s ‘Rhythm Is a Dancer’.
