The newest MCU project, The Marvels, is just around the corner. And, although rumors have been circulating for some time now, the runtime of the film has been confirmed. The follow up to 2019’s Captain Marvel, The Marvels is set to clock in at an hour and 45 minutes. That officially makes it the shortest MCU film to date. The running time was confirmed by a posting by AMC theaters.
The previous MCU film to be considered the shortest was a two-way tie between The Incredible Hulk and Thor: The Dark World. Both entries came in at an hour and 52 minutes.
As GamesRadar points out, only 7 out of the 31 MCU movies are under two hours. Thor and Doctor Strange came in at 1 hour 55 minutes, Ant-Man at 1 hour 57 minutes, Ant-Man And The Wasp at 1 hour 58 minutes, and Thor: Love And Thunder at 1 hour 59 minutes.
The Marvels brings back Captain Marvel herself, Carol Danvers, joined this time around by Monica Rambeau, and young superhero Kamala Khan, also known as Ms. Marvel. The trio try to investigate a Kree wormhole, but also discover that when one of them uses their powers, it causes them to swap places.
The Marvels comes to theaters on November 10th, and stars Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani.
