Hot on the heels of a release date announcement comes the first trailer for Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel. While it certainly won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, a stunning cast combined with vintage Wes Anderson charm makes this a good bet both critically and commercially come March 7.
As can be seen (the trailer is below), the film revolves around the antics of Ralph Fiennes as Monsieur Gustave H. as observed from the recollections of a lobby boy played by relative newcomer Tony Revolori (also known as Anthony Quinonez). But it’s the rapid run of big names at the end of the trailer that brings home the heights which Anderson has reached as a director. Seventeen years years an seven highly acclaimed films since his first feature, Bottle Rocket, it’s safe to say Anderson and his trademark quirky style aren’t going away anytime soon.
