The final trailer for Blumhouse/Atomic Monster’s Insidious: Out of the Further promises that the franchise that haunted a generation gets “flipped on its head”. The advertisement, which urges watchers to get their tickets to the upcoming sixth installment in the Insidious franchise, was released Wednesday by Sony Pictures.
Out of the Further promises the spirits that inhabit the realm of the dead, or “the Further”, will now plague the world of the living. Amelia Eve stars as Gemma, a young mother who possesses the ability to bring the terrifying spirits of the Further into the real world. Soon Gemma and her loved ones are surrounded by the demons, desperate for a solution, presumably seeking the aid of franchise veteran and Scream Queen Lin Shaye’s character Elise.
Elise warns Gemma “When the dead rise, it will be the end of the living.” The demons are seen tormenting Gemma alongside her partner, played by Brandon Perea (NOPE, Twisters) and her young daughter, played by Island Austin.
The official synopsis for Insidious: Out of the Further is as follows:
“Amelia Eve stars as Gemma, a young mother raising her daughter in the house she grew up in who discovers she can travel into The Further, the purgatorial realm of lost souls at the heart of the Insidious universe. When something evil comes after her, Gemma discovers an ability that changes everything: she doesn’t just enter The Further, she can bring what lives there back to the real world. Once the demons realize her power, our world becomes their playground.”
Insidious: Out of the Further was written and directed by Jacob Chase. The film will haunt theaters beginning August 5th, 2026. Watch the final trailer below.
