The Fantastic Four: First Steps will make its streaming debut soon. Fantastic Four was the third Marvel movie released this year, after Thunderbolts* and Captain America: Brave New World, and was the most successful of them all. The film made $522 million in its box office run.
Since the film was released in July, fans were wondering when Marvel’s first family would be available to see on streaming. First, he film was made available on VOD, with its digital release happening on September 23, signaling that the streaming date was getting closer.
Next, the film became available on physical media, with 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD options, which began on October 14. The only thing left was a streaming announcement, which Marvel and Disney+ made today.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be available to stream on Disney+ on November 5. The announcement comes almost exactly three months after the film’s theatrical release, which was July 25.
The film will be available in IMAX Enhanced on Disney+, and fans can listen to Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, composed by Michael Giacchino, on digital platforms. A 2-disc 12″ translucent vinyl album is also available for purchase at Disney Music Emporium and select retailers.
The Fantastic Four will next be seen in Avengers: Doomsday, which is set to release in theaters next year. Whether it is Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom that appears in the film’s post-credits scene is still to be determined, but it still ties the team to the next Avengers film.
A sequel to The Fantastic Four: First Steps has not been announced yet. However, the film is likely to receive a sequel, given its box office success, positive reception from fans, and the team’s apparent importance to the future of the MCU. For now, Marvel’s first family will be available to stream on Disney+, starting November 5.
