SXSW Film And TV Festival announced the events set to take place during their annual event. With the announcement also came the confirmation that a select few new movies will see their debut at the festival as well.
Part of the Festival that SXSW puts on includes a Centerpiece Screening. This year, the Centerpiece Screening will be the debut of The Fall Guy, a new film from director David Leitch.
Starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, The Fall Guy follows a stuntman who has to take up work on the set of a film helmed by his ex-wife following the disappearance of the main lead.
The complete lineup will be announced come February, but the current slate includes a wide range of productions from film, television, and even music videos. The TV Premiere will showcase the debut of upcoming Netflix series 3 Body Problem.
Part of the lineup of categories for film includes narrative feature competition, documentary feature competition, narrative spotlight, documentary spotlight, narrative short competition, documentary short competition, and animated short competition, among others. Variety posted a full list for projects currently announced, and which category they fall under.
Some of the other projects set to debut include We’re All Gonna Die under Narrative Feature Competition, Australian production The Big Wait for Documentary Short Competition, and My Dead Friend Zoe for Narrative Spotlight.
