Liam Neeson has easily become known for his role in the Taken franchise, and he appears to be following suit in his next film, The Commuter. The film has just released its last trailer, and it looks to be just as action packed as his semi-beloved series:
Michael McCauley (Neeson) is on his daily commute on the train when he is approached by a woman. She offers him a challenge: discover who is the odd one out of place on the train and receive $100,000 dollars. Still, it appears that this strange encounter will create even more chaos than he could have anticipated, leaving Michael to find himself enveloped inside of some kind of criminal conspiracy that can either save or doom everyone on the train. It is then up to Michael to stop the demise of hundreds of people.
Neeson is joined by a powerful cast including Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring 2), Patrick Wilson (Insidious), Sam Neill (Hunt For the Wilderpeople), and Jonathan Banks (Better Call Saul). The film is being directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (The Shallows), who commonly works with Neeson on action thriller projects like Unknown, Non-Stop, and Run All Night. The script is being handled by Byron Willinger and Philip de Blasi. The film is set to be released on January 12, 2018.
