“Last call, Pitches.” Anna Kendrick and co are back for more a-ca magic with Pitch Perfect 3, the third installment in the popular a cappella franchise. Universal Pictures has released the official trailer for the third outing, showcasing the fitting harmony.
Trish Sie (Step Up All In) directs from a script by series mainstay Kay Cannon. Kendrick leads with Rebel Wilson (How to Be Single), Hailee Steinfeld (The Edge of Seventeen), Brittany Snow (Hairspray), Anna Camp (Café Society), Hana Mae Lee (Jem and the Holograms), Ester Dean (Rio), Alexis Knapp (Percy Jackson & the Olympians), Chrissie Fit (Filly Brown), Shelley Regner (42), Ruby Rose (Orange is the New Black), John Lithgow (Beatriz at Dinner), John Michael Higgins (Great News) and Elizabeth Banks (Power Rangers) rounding out the cast.
The synopsis reads, ” Now graduated from college and out in the real world where it takes more than a cappella to get by, the Bellas return in Pitch Perfect 3, the next chapter in the beloved series that has taken in more than $400 million at the global box office. After the highs of winning the World Championships, the Bellas find themselves split apart and discovering there aren’t job prospects for making music with your mouth. But when they get the chance to reunite for an overseas USO tour, this group of awesome nerds will come together to make some music, and some questionable decisions, one last time.”
Pitch Perfect 3 sings into theaters on December 22nd.
