‘The Belko Experiment’ Picked Up at TIFF by Orion, BH Tilt

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Orion and BH Tilt have acquired U.S. rights to The Belko Experiment. The horror-thriller premiered at at the Toronto Film Festival last night as part of the Midnight Madness section.

Helmed by Greg McLean (The Darkness) from a script by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy), the story follows a twisted social experiment in which 80 Americans are imprisoned in their high-rise corporate office in Bogata, Colombia and forced to participate in a deadly game of kill or be killed.

Gunn and Peter Safran are producing the indie film which stars John Gallagher Jr.( 10 Cloverfield Lane), Tony Goldwyn (ABC’s Scandal), Michael Rooker (Guardians of the Galaxy), Adria Arjona (Anomalous), John C. McGinley (Get A Job), Josh Brener (The Internship) and Melonie Diaz (Ghost Team).

The film is slated for release on March 17, 2017.

Karen Earnest: A psychologist by profession, Karen was an early fan of movie musicals, sci-fi films, and black and white classics. She lives in Los Angeles County, where "the sun shines bright, the beaches are wide and inviting, and the orange groves (used to) stretch as far as the eye can see" (quoting Sid in L.A. Confidential)
