The artistic director of the New York Film Festival, Dennis Lim, spoke about the wide variety of this year’s slate, saying,
“Anyone who cares about film knows that it is an art in need of defending, like many of our core values today…I am particularly struck by the diversity of approaches and forms among the films in this Main Slate, which affirms that the art of cinema is more than capable of thriving, even in difficult times.”
Screening venues for the festival include Lincoln Center, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, AMC Bay Plaza Cinema, Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), and the Museum of the Moving Image.
The 2025 New York Film Festival will take place from September 26 to October 13.
