According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bones and All actress Taylor Russell, who was set to co-star with Michael B. Jordan on the remake of The Thomas Crown Affair, has officially exited the film. Creative differences are being cited as the reason for Russell’s exit. As production for the film continues in London, Russell’s role is set to be recast.

Michael B. Jordan is directing and starring in the remake, with a script by The Fall Guy screenwriter Drew Pearce. Wes Tooke and Justin Britt-Gibson wrote a previous draft of the script. Other cast members include Kenneth Branagh, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, and Aiysha Hart. Michael B Jordan is also producing the film, alongside Patrick McCormick, Elizabeth Raposo, Charles Roven, and Mark Toberoff. Alan Trustman, the screenwriter behind the original 1968 film, is executive producing.

The film will be a remake of the 1968 film of the same name, which starred Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway. It will be the second remake of the film. The first, which was released in 1998, was directed by John McTiernan and starred Pierce Brosnan.

Following her exit, it is currently unknown who will be replacing Taylor Russell. Amazon MGM Studios will release the remake of The Thomas Crown Affair in theaters on March 5, 2027.
