The official trailer for Superman has just been released by DC. The trailer, which at the time of writing has gained over 8 million views, is quite the spectacle to behold.
The trailer opens with Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan) asking Clark Kent (David Corenswet), a.k.a. Superman, if she can interview him as Superman. He gives her permission, and in their conversation, we get glimpses of the film’s conflict. Superman is acting as a vigilante. He is taking actions that are not approved by the government, and while those actions have stopped wars, some people do not appreciate that.
From there, we see glimpses of different characters in the film, such as Krypto the Superdog and Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult), who appears to be the main villain in the film. We also get to see parts of the Fortress of Solitude. Many other action scenes are interspersed throughout the trailer, showing even more characters.
The new Superman film truly has us on the edge of our seats, and it is scheduled for release on July 11th. Finally, the film seems to be sticking to one quote as its tagline:
“Your choices, your actions, that’s what makes you who you are.”
