Super Bowl Teaser for ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’

The Super Bowl 50 hits keep coming. Meaning, of course, the latest trailers for the biggest movies set to hit theaters this year. 20th Century Fox premiered a new X-Men: Apocalypse spot. The film, directed by returning Bryan Singer, reunites the X-Men team on another perilous mission.

Apocalypse, our latest foe, emerges as perhaps the most brutal test yet for the X-Men crew. According to lure, Apocalypse is the world’s first mutant who enters the fray with world-ending ambitions. Simon Kinberg (currently Oscar nominated for producing the blockbuster The Martian) wrote the screenplay from a story by Singer, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris.

The all-star ensemble cast includes current Oscar nominees Michael Fassbender (Steve Jobs) and Jennifer Lawrence (Joy) as well as franchise veterans James McAvoy (The Last King of Scotland), Nicholas Hoult (Mad Max: Fury Road), Evan Peters (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Rose Byrne (Spy). New members to the fleet include Olivia Munn (Magic Mike), Tye Sheridan (Mud), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Slow West) and most enticing, perhaps, Oscar Isaac (Ex Machina) debuts as Apocalypse. Isaac most recently co-starred in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

X-Men: Apocalypse debuts in theaters on May 27th. Check out the latest teaser below:
