Stephen Park Shares His Thoughts On Working With Wes Anderson Again On ‘Asteroid City’

Wes Anderson’s projects like The Grand Budapest Hotel and The French Dispatch showcased Anderson’s distinctive style, of vintage flair, vivid color scheme, and symmetry in shots, in the filmmaking world. And Asteroid City is another to add to the list with the same flair as Anderson has used the same actors from his previous projects like Jason Schwartzman, Adrien Brody, and Owen Wilson. While Jeffery Wright and Stephen Park make a second return to work with Anderson.

Park shared his experience with Comicbook about working on The French Dispatch to Asteroid City. Park shared, “Similarities is just his vision, his specificity, his attention to detail, and just the characters that he creates.” Park continued, “I mean, who else is going to create like [my character in The French Dispatch] Nescaffier? I mean, it’s just like his imagination is just boundless. So that definitely is constant with him.”

Park stated to Comicbook about any changes that Anderson made with Asteroid City. Park stated, “The difference was just being in this environment, being in a desert that he created and the bright sunshine and just the cast, the cast that he brought together for this movie was just wonderful to be around everybody.” Park continued, “Everybody was so great and kind and funny and generous.”
