Actors Stephen Dorff and Dean Norris have joined the cast in Danish writer-director Milad Schwartz Avaz’s U.S. debut feature, Elastic Hearts.

The duo will share the screen and will join the formerly announced stars, The Holdovers’ Darby Lee-Stack and Riverdale’s Cole Sprouse. Plot details of the project remain under wraps; however, the film is described as an “intimate, character-driven drama set in contemporary America,” with Lee-Stack portraying the character of Allie and Sprouse playing the role of Oliver.

Avaz, also the writer of the film. said about the casting that he is “thrilled” to make his American debut “with performers as fearless and generous as Cole and Darby.” Avaz’s own credits include the 2020 TV series Alfa and working as a writer for the critically acclaimed While We Live. Dorff is known for his roles in 1998’s Blade, 2000’s DeMented, and 2010’s Somewhere. Norris is mainly known for his television roles, including Breaking Bad, Under the Dome, and Claws.

Principal photography is set to wrap on October 12th, and post-production is expected to wrap during the New Year holiday, so the feature is looking at a March 2026 release date at the earliest.
