The star-studded cast of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny hit the red carpet at the Dolby Theater last night to celebrate the film’s upcoming release and to talk the final installment of the Indiana Jones franchise.
Harrison Ford took to the red carpet with his wife, Calista Flockhart. “I have been very grateful, and I have enjoyed myself for the 42 years we’ve been making these,” he said of playing the titular character in the franchise.
Ford was surprised on the carpet by Ke Huy Quan, who played his on-screen Short Round in the second installment of the franchise. Quan had previously taken a long hiatus from acting, before coming back to Hollywood to star in Everything Everywhere All at Once. Ford and Quan shared a hug and answered questions together from reporters.
Fleabag star Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who plays deuteragonist Helena Shaw, also took to the red carpet and spilled about how excited she was for the film to hit theaters.
John Rhys-Davies was on the carpet, reprising his role of Indiana Jones’ friend and guide Sallah from the first and third films of the franchise. Mads Mikkelson, who plays Nazi villain Jürgen Voller, also walked the carpet.
With a budget of $300 million dollars (one of the most expensive films to ever be made), Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is gearing up to be a spectacular mashup of star power and special effects. It will be released in theaters on June 30th.
