As stated by Gizmodo, a recent trailer for Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu rounds up, showcasing the film before its premiere. The sci-fi fantasy film will be released in theaters on May 22.
The trailer opens up with Din Grogu meditating in the forest as action sequences follow. The narration of Colonel Ward sets up the story following the “Mandalorian bounty hunter and a child.” The trailer further explores the relationship between Grogu and Djarin as the latter plays a mentor role for Grogu. “The old protect the young and then the young protect the old.” The Mandalorian says in the trailer sequence.
Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu centers around Din Djarin, played by Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us, The Fantastic Four: First Steps) and Grogu and their journey after being assigned as agents of the New Republic. They will be working alongside New Republic Colonel Ward and Zeb Orellios as they fight against Imperial Remnant officers. Steve Blum (Wolverine and the X-Men, The Super Hero Squad Show) will return as Zeb Orellios, and Sigourney Weaver (Alien, Avatar) will be playing Colonel Ward. Rotta the Hutt, who first appeared in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, will be played by Jeremy Allen White (The Bear, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere).
