‘Squirrels to the Nuts’ Finds More Cast Members

The Jennifer Aniston/Owen Wilson/Kathryn Hahn rom-com Squirrels to the Nuts recently added Richard Lewis to the cast list, but the production wasn’t done there.

Rhys Ifans (The Amazing Spider-Man, Pirate Radio) and Ahna O’Reilly (The Help, Fruitvale Station) headline a number of cast members that have just been announced for the in-progress ensemble pic.

Squirrels promises to be a nice comic break for Ifans, who just finished work on both the thriller Panda Eyes and the Bradley Cooper/Jennifer Lawrence drama Serena. He’ll also be appearing in next year’s Madame Bovary, which is planning production in the coming months. Ifans will be playing a Broadway actor chasing his director’s (Owen Wilson) wife (Kathryn Hahn) as Wilson tries to reform a prostitute, played by Lucy Punch (Stand-Up Guys, Bad Teacher), another new addition. Also joining the cast is funnyman Will Forte (Saturday Night Live, The Watch), who will be hitting the big screen later this year leading the drama Nebraska.

Squirrels is being Peter Bogdanovich, who is perhaps better known as an actor, but received an Oscar nomination for his directing in 1972 for The Last Picture Show. Squirrels to the Nuts will be his first narrative feature since 2001’s The Cat’s Meow.
