‘Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse’ Second Trailer Drops

Sony Pictures Releasing has released the second trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and it features more Spider-Men than you count on one hand.

The trailer features Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) swinging around Brooklyn, juggling social, family, and academic responsibilities with his secret superhero lifestyle, and meeting the antagonist of the film “The Spot” (Jason Schwartzman).

Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfield) opens the door for Miles to an “elite crew with all the best spider people in it.” Jake Johnson also makes his return as Peter B. Parker.  You can watch the trailer below!

The events of Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) are also seemingly referenced when Miguel O’ Harra (Oscar Issac) says, “And don’t even get me started on Doctor Strange and a little nerd back on Earth 199999.”

With so many Spider-Men from so many Spider-verses, some fans have been speculating (or praying) for Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, or Tom Holland’s Spider-Men to show up somehow, and with the international trailer, their prayers may or may not be answered.

Maguire, Garfield, and Holland’s voices are overlaid with images of their spider suits, with quotes directly from their movies emphasizing one of the main themes of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse: sacrifice.

Miles Morales will attempt to change his destiny on June 2, 2023, when the film releases.
