Sony Brings On Brad Anderson to Direct ‘Shadow Run’

Director Brad Anderson (The Machinist) has officially signed on to direct Sony Pictures’ new action thriller Shadow Run, which is being described as “Safe House on a plane.”

Anderson first drew notice for directing the psychological thriller The Machinist in 2004. His most recent film was 2013’s The Call, which was a surprise hit for Sony. His experience and success in the genre is likely what drew the studio to bring him on to the new project. Anderson has also directed episodes of Boardwalk EmpireThe Killing. and Person of Interest.

No casting has been announced for Shadow Run. Anderson’s other projects in development include the science fiction drama Confessions of a Memory Eater and the comic book adaptation The Living and the Dead.
