After an insane box office run, the latest film by the director-actor duo of Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan, Sinners, will head to digital platforms soon and be available for purchase.
The film was released theatrically on April 18th and has been exceeding expectations, becoming one of the most critically and financially successful films of the year. Sinners has made $320 million at the worldwide box office on a $90 million budget. It also stood the test of time as it has historically low drop-off rates in its second week in theaters.
Sinners will be available on digital platforms on June 3rd, 2025, meaning viewers can buy the film to watch at home on platforms such as Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Prime Video, etc. Despite the VOD release date, as of right now, there is no knowledge of when the film will be available on streaming services.
It is likely that the film will find its home on Max (which is changing back to HBO Max soon), as it was a Warner Bros. release. There is hope for a summer release. There is also no news of a physical release of the film, however pre-orders for the special edition 4K Steelbook of Sinners have sold out with retailers such as Walmart and Amazon.
Sinners follows the Smokestack Twins, both played by Jordan, as they return to the Mississippi Delta to open a juke joint. They enlist their younger cousin Sammie, played by Miles Canton, to play blues music for the crowd they’ll have. As the night goes on, they discover evil is lurking around the bend waiting for an invitation to strike. The film also has impeccable performances from Wunmi Mosaku, Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell, Jayme Lawson and Delroy Lindo.
