The latest official trailer for dramatic thriller You Were Never Really Here has just been released! Directed by Lynne Ramsay (We Need to Talk about Kevin), the film centers around a terrifying and chilling mystery which involves the disappearance of a girl who has been violently taken away and is now in the middle of an extremely dangerous and degrading situation. However, her kidnappers have no idea that their torturous crime is about to be met with a torturous man who has had plenty of experience with combat and will absolutely use it as he pleases so that he can save the young girl. Recruited by a senator, the man has spent years of his life undertaking missions just like this, making him perfect for the job.
As per a new tradition that has been arising among companies which hold the rights to streaming services revolving around video and film, Amazon Studios will be housing and producing You Were Never Really Here. It will star Joaquin Phoenix (Walk the Line) as the main protagonist in search of the girl, played by Ekaterina Samsonov (Wonderstruck). The movie will also feature performances from John Doman (The Wire), Alex Manette (Shame), Judith Roberts (Dead Silence), and Alessandro Nivola (American Hustle).
