Ryan Gosling, Rooney Mara, Michael Fassbender, and Natalie Portman star as an intermingling musical foursome in Terrence Malick‘s Song to Song. The film is set to debut at SXSW and audiences have been treated to the film’s first trailer ahead of its world premiere.
The love quadrangle drama is set agains the Austin, Texas music scene, and will be a fitting addition to the SXSW festival, which takes place in Austin. The story tells of love, betrayal, and obsession amidst the wild world of the music industry. The first trailer promises an electrically charged film packed with emotion, music, and flying limbs.
Joining the already star-studded cast is a jam-packed supporting line up including Christian Bale, Haley Bennett (The Girl on the Train), Cate Blanchett, Val Kilmer, Benicio del Toro, Holly Hunter, Boyd Holbrook (The Skeleton Twins), Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight), Tom Sturridge (Pirate Radio), and Clifton Collins Jr. (HBO’s Westworld), as well as musical acts Florence and the Machine, Iggy Pop, Arcade Fire, Patti Smith, and more.
