A new trailer has been released for The Weinstein Company’s Burnt, starring Bradley Cooper (American Sniper, Aloha). Cooper plays a renowned chef who achieved fame early in his career, only to lose everything due to drug abuse and an oversized ego. The chef cleans up his act, opens a kitchen in London with ambitions to run the best restaurant in the world, and goes after the coveted culinary award of three Michelin stars.
The new trailer starts with a voiceover by Cooper saying, “When I was 16, I quit school. I saved just enough for a one-way ticket to Paris. Maybe I just wanted it really bad, and when I got it, I didn’t know how to hold onto it.” Cooper demonstrates his intensity in the trailer, violently throwing dishes and turning over tables in the kitchen as he demands perfection from his crew.
The film is directed by John Wells (August: Osage County, Love and Mercy). The starry cast also features Sienna Miller (American Sniper, Foxcatcher), Daniel Bruhl (Rush, A Most Wanted Man), Matthew Rhys (TV’s The Americans), Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina), Uma Thurman (Kill Bill), and Emma Thompson (Saving Mr. Banks). Steven Knight’s screenplay is based on the story by Michael Kalesniko.
Burnt is set to be released on October 23, 2015.
